The first days of a Fulbright scholar's stay in Leszno

The first days of a Fulbright scholar's stay in Leszno

At the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year, our university welcomed Dylan Mouck, a grantee of the prestigious Fulbright Program, who will serve as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) at the Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno throughout the academic year.

During his first days in Leszno, Dylan took part in a welcome meeting with Vice-Rector Prof. Maciej Pietrzak, PhD, during which his teaching plans and opportunities for collaboration with academic staff and students were discussed. The meeting was also attended by Fulbright mentor – Edyta Mróz, MA, Head of the International Office – Dominika Pluta, MA, and staff members Regina Angelstein, MA and Daria Bródka, MA.

The scholar also joined a guided tour of Leszno, which allowed him to learn about the city’s history, culture, and main landmarks. Additionally, he participated in a Buddy Students meeting organized for international students arriving at our university, as well as in a trip to Wrocław prepared especially for newly arrived exchange students.

Dylan’s first days in Leszno were filled with impressions, meetings, and new experiences. His participation in these events provided an excellent opportunity to integrate with the academic community and marked the beginning of his teaching activities at our university.
