Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences offers accommodation in ‘Komenik’ Student Residence Hall which is situated at ul. Opalińskich 1 (1 Opalińskich Street) in Leszno.

General information about the Student Residence Hall

Komenik is located near the University. It provides conducive conditions for studying and resting to students, lecturers and guests of Jan Amos Komeński University of Applied Sciences in Leszno.

To ensure the safety of its residents, the residence hall is equipped with the fire alarm system, audible warning system and CCTV cameras.

Komenik was reconstructed in 2021-2022. All rooms are provided with en-suite bathrooms. In addition, they come with new furniture, fridges and electrical kettles, as well as 32 Inch TVs and wireless internet connection.

There are fully equipped kitchens, laundry rooms and drying rooms on every floor.

There are also bathrooms for residents with impaired mobility on the ground floor and first floor.

Rooms in individual zones of the Student Residence Hall

Depending on individual zones, Komenik offers different types of rooms.

In the student’s zone there are:

- 49 single rooms with en-suite bathrooms (15-16m2 of floor space);

- 2 single rooms with bathrooms adjusted to residents with impaired mobility (15-16m2 of floor space);

- 7 rooms with en-suite bathrooms (9-10m2 of floor space);

- 12 twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms (15-16m2 of floor space);

- 2 single rooms with en-suite bathrooms (7.3m2 of floor space), with fridges in the common room.

The lecturer’s zone offers 3 single rooms with en-suite bathrooms (16-21m2 of floor space), and 2 single rooms with en-suite bathrooms (8-10m2 of floor space) with fridges in the common room.

The rector’s zone offers 1 single room with the resting set and en-suite bathroom (13.5m2 of floor space) with the fridge in the common room; 1 single room with the bedroom, resting set and en-suite bathroom (22m2 of floor space).

Komenik can accommodate 84 residents in the student’s zone and 5 in the lecturer’s zone. The rector’s zone is offered exclusively to University Rector’s guests.
