Welcome Centre
The establishment of the Welcome Centre will begin in the academic year 2026/2027 and will be completed in the academic year 2027/2028 as part of the project
“Welcome & Skills – ANS Leszno dla umiędzynarodowienia”
'Welcome & Skills – ANS Leszno for Internationalisation'
implemented by the J.A. Komeński State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno. The project is funded under the “Welcome to Poland 2025” programme implemented by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), within the framework of the action entitled “Supporting higher education and science institutions in serving foreign nationals and Polish citizens going abroad”.
The project is co-financed by the European Union, and the amount of funding awarded is PLN 69,832,261.18.
As part of the project “Welcome & Skills – ANS Leszno dla umiędzynarodowienia”, a Welcome Centre will be established a specially prepared space dedicated to Polish and international students, university employees, and guests from Poland and abroad. The facility will be adapted to the needs of people with fewer opportunities and people with special needs, ensuring accessibility, comfort, and a welcoming environment for all users.
The Welcome Centre will serve as a friendly first point of contact and a support centre for the university’s international community.
The space will host training sessions, workshops, classes, conferences, information meetings, integration events, and intercultural activities.
The main task of the Welcome Centre will be to provide comprehensive support to international students and employees from the stage of preparing for arrival, through the adaptation process, to assistance during their stay and functioning within the academic environment.
The Centre will be a place where international members of the university community can receive necessary information, organisational support, and assistance facilitating their studies, work, and integration in Poland.
The establishment of the Welcome Centre will contribute to the development of the internationalisation process at the J.A. Komeński State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno, increasing the accessibility of the university for people from diverse backgrounds and supporting the creation of an open, friendly, and multicultural academic environment.
