Saint Nicholas Day

Saint Nicholas Day

On 5 December 2024, a Saint Nicholas Day event was held, bringing together students, academic staff and employees of our university. It was an international event, the highlight of which were Christmas presentations by our foreign guests and students.

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to learn about Christmas traditions from different parts of the world. Speakers coming from three continents shared customs related to Christmas celebrations in their homelands. They presented Christmas traditions from Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Spain and the United States.

The meeting was not only an opportunity to broaden the knowledge, but also to integrate the academic community in an atmosphere of joy and common celebration. Participants enjoyed a Santa photo booth, which captured special moments in souvenir photos. They also enjoyed decorating gingerbread cookies, which was a great opportunity to celebrate Polish Christmas traditions.

We would like to express our thanks to all the participants for creating a warm, festive atmosphere.
