Blended Intensive Programme

Blended Intensive Programme

During the 2022/2023 summer term, Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences became the ERASMUS+ Project coordinator of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) for another consecutive time. BIP engages our international partner universities which this year included Saxion University of Applied Sciences from the Netherlands and University of Dunaújváros from Hungary. There were 28 students and 6 academic teachers altogether who participated in this year’s edition of the project. The programme agenda was developed by our Institute of Technology and International Office which were also responsible for organising the whole event. The project was carried out by Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences with the patronage of the Mayor of Leszno.

The event was launched online on 23 March 2023 in the form of virtual lecture classes conducted by one of lecturers from the Institute of Technology, MA Mikołaj Zgaiński. Having received credit from this more theory-based part, both the students and academic teachers met afterwards in Leszno, where they joined in to continue carrying out the project in a traditional way. The Leszno-based project week started on 15 May 2023 at the C&C Partners company’s headquarters, where our guests from abroad and our university representatives were offered a great and solemn welcome. The company familiarised all the project participants with its activity profile and products offered not only in its everyday place of running business but also in other places where its products are used on a daily basis. One of such places was the Tarczyński Arena Stadium in Wrocław. Having been equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, the students took part in the workshop of design thinking about promotion, marketing and client needs at the Business Spot in Leszno. After the busy workshop, which offered an excellent opportunity for international and interdisciplinary cooperation, all the students were ready to present the effects of their work. All project results were presented on 19 May 2023 in the Leszno Library and the event was also officially closed at that time and place. The students presented all the project participants their ideas which were evaluated by the project committee. It included the following jury members:

C&C Partners Company Board President – MA Artur Hejdysz

Head of C&C Partners Marketing Department – MA Tobiasz Bąkowski

Head of the Institute of Technology of Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno – PhD Eng. Halina Pacha-Gołębiowska

Representative of the Leszno Town Hall Department of Development – MA Magdelena Urbaniak

Academic Teacher of Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno – MA Mikołaj Zgaiński

Academic Teacher of Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands – PhD Sabine Overgoor Academic Teacher of University of Dunaújváros – PhD Szilvia Kovacs.

Apart from the educational aspect of their visit, our visitors could also get to know our university and take a tour of our town. In her great hospitality, Klaudia Pajzderska, who also participated in the project and is the Head of Students’ Association in our university, invited all the international students from our partner universities to an integrational meeting with the student community from our university over a joint bonfire and sports games in the local forest, Karczma Borowa.
