Welcome Week 2025
In the winter semester 2025/2026, our university will welcome new international students who will join our academic community.
This semester we will host two students from Spain, Paula and Nerea from Universidad Complutense de Madrid as well as three students from Kazakhstan from Atyrau Oil and Gas University named after Safi Utebayev, Ainaz, Zarina, and Yergali.
On this occasion, a Welcome Week will be held on 6–10 October 2025 – a week of activities designed to help our new students:
- get to know academic life,
- explore the university and the city,
- meet with their Buddy Students.
This year, a recruitment process for the Buddy Student Programme was carried out. Four students were selected to act as mentors for our international guests. Our Buddies will not only help newcomers find their way in Polish reality, but also spend time together, supporting them in discovering intercultural differences, learning about our traditions, and experiencing everyday customs. The selected Buddies are students of the Technology Institute, the Pedagogical Institute, and the Institute of Economics.
Welcome Week is a unique time of integration, exchange of experiences, and taking the first steps in an international academic environment.
We wish our new students that their time at our university will be not only a period of gaining knowledge, but also an opportunity to build friendships, develop passions, and discover a new culture. This is the beginning of an extraordinary adventure that will certainly bring valuable experiences and long-lasting connections, both for our international guests and for our students.
