Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences

On 4th of September 2024, a representative of the University of Applied Sciences in Schmalkalden visited our University. Dr Paul Voerkel met with Ms Dominika Pluta and Ms Regina Angelstein to discuss cooperation between the two institutions. During the meeting, the university's structures and study programmes were compared, with a focus on English-language courses.  It is conceivable that our students specialising in economics, computer science and mechanics will soon be able to spend a semester at the university in Schmalkalden as part of an ERASMUS+ agreement. The courses will be held in English. A joint BIP project and dual degree programme are being considered, allowing graduates to receive both a Polish and German bachelor's or engineering degree. The university and institute heads will sign an agreement soon.
