On 18–22 May 2026, the Jan Amos Komeński State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno will host the international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) entitled:
“LET'S MOVE, DON'T EXCLUDE!
implemented within the Erasmus+ programme.
This interdisciplinary programme combines online classes with practical workshops and sports activities carried out both on the university campus and in the urban space of the city of Leszno. The programme will involve more than 20 participants from partner universities in Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, and Slovakia, as well as students from our university.
Classes will be conducted in an international academic environment, and participants will collaborate using physical activity as a tool for social integration and health prevention.
The programme will be delivered by academic teachers from the Institute of Health and Physical Education of the State University of Applied Sciences in Leszno, who combine scientific work with clinical practice and therapeutic work. They specialize in physiotherapy, physical culture sciences, and health-oriented training, with particular focus on biomechanics of movement, prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, and methods supporting recovery and physical adaptation. Their experience includes working with both physically active individuals and patients requiring movement therapy and functional rehabilitation.
The entire programme will be conducted in English. Participants will receive 3 ECTS credits for completing the programme.
The programme includes both an online and an on-site component:
· Online meetings – 11 and 27 May 2026
· On-site part – 18–22 May 2026
The programme will feature inspiring lectures, workshops, and various forms of physical activity based on current knowledge in the fields of health sciences and physical culture. Participants will take part, among others, in classes addressing the impact of chronic stress and a sedentary lifestyle on the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
The programme will also include myofascial release workshops, focusing on working with fascia and techniques for reducing myofascial tension, aqua fitness sessions utilizing the properties of the aquatic environment for functional and recovery training, as well as exercises supporting muscle tone regulation and psychophysical balance. Outdoor sports activities are also planned, including jogging and Nordic walking.
At the end of the programme, participants will prepare presentations on the importance of movement and physical activity in health prevention and their impact on the functioning of the human body, with particular emphasis on physiological, psychological, and social aspects.
