AI training - Dubrovnik

AI training - Dubrovnik

Barbara Malepsza, M.A., lecturer at our Foreign Language Centre of the Institute of Pedagogy, participated in an international workshop Dubrovnik, Croatia. The workshop cofinanced by the ERASMUS+ programme was dedicated to the topic ChatGPT and AI in education and took place from 15th to 19th of July 2024. The workshop addressed very topical issues for the education sector related to chatbots and applications using elements of artificial intelligence. Participants discussed the possibilities of using them in the educational process, both from the teacher's and the student's point of view. During the training the participants discussed the challenges facing modern educators, the associated changes in teaching roles and the potential risks associated with the indiscriminate and uncontrolled use of intelligent chatbots and AI-based applications.
A very useful part of the workshop were the learning tasks assigned to the teams of participants, which gave them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with specific AI-based applications from a practical perspective.
The workshop programme also included outdoor tasks based on experiential learning.
