Native Speaker z USA - Caitlyn Garcia
In the academic year 2024/2025 we are hosting Caitlyn (Cady) Garcia at our university - a Fulbright scholarship holder, which is the largest scholarship program in the United States.
On June 13, 2024, a cooperation agreement was signed under the ETA (English Teaching Assistant) scholarship program between the Polish-American Fulbright Commission based in Warsaw and our University.
Cady will assist in conducting English language classes in selected groups across various fields of study. Additionally, throughout the academic year, all students will have the opportunity to participate in speaking classes led by Cady as part of the Speaking Club, as well as in lectures about the USA prepared by her.
Caitlyn comes from Versailles, Indiana, where she studied at Ball State University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in humanities, specializing in teaching history at the high school level.
In her free time, she enjoys sports, especially basketball. She also loves hiking. She finds pleasure in reading, baking cakes, and discovering new restaurants.
She is looking forward to her stay in Poland, especially to making new friends, visiting museums, exploring nature, and learning the Polish language.
